The Biocidal Product Regulation (Article 95) comes into effect on the 1st September 2015. Manufacturers or importers who supply biocidal products or active substances to the British or EU market whether in return for payment or not must have registered their product by this date. Failure to do so will result in you not being able to sell your biocidal product or active substance to either market. This will be strongly enforced by the HSE.
In order to ensure we continue to supply legal biocidal products WTP Ltd will ensure all active biocides purchased appear on the Article 95 participant list. This will ensure that our customers are compliant with the regulations.
To allow BPR participants to operate on a level playing field the “Free Riders”, companies who market biocides but are not participating, will not be able to market biocides in the EU after 1st September 2015.
Tim Carter, Director says “We have written to our suppliers asking for written confirmation of participation and inclusion on the Article 95 list, and where necessary have changed supplier.”
“I can confirm that we are in the process of complying with all deadlines and obligations, so that we can ensure on-going supply after the September 2015 deadline.” More…
