WTPS88 is recommended for the direct neutralization of carbonic acid in liquid condensate. WTP S88 is effective in low, medium and high pressure boiler systems. This formulation exhibits a favourable vapour/liquid distribution ratio allowing for protection during the first or second stages of condensation and also at the furthest points of the condensate system.

Physical State Clear liquid
Odour Amine Odour
Specific Gravity (SG) 0.88
pH (product) 11.8

The dosage varies based on the concentration of free carbon dioxide in the steam generated by the breakdown of feedwater M alkalinity. Product can be dosed to the boiler water feed system.

Neutralising amines are controlled by measuring the pH of a cooled condensate sample using either the colorimetric method or a standard pH meter (WTPTKC039). Field representatives will work closely with plant personnel to initiate and maintain effective control procedures.
