Name

WTPS10

Description

WTPS10 is a convenient to use liquid oxygen scavenger recommended for the complete removal of oxygen from deaerator heaters, feedwater storage areas, feedwater lines, condensate return lines, boiler internals and closed recirculating water systems.

Product Data

Physical State Clear yellow liquid
Specific Gravity 1.32
pH 3.5

Dosage

WTP S10 is dosed at 18 ppm per ppm of dissolved oxygen, plus a slight excess to allow for residual testing purposes. The dose can be calculated by:

This formula will give 30 ppm sulphite as Na2SO3

WTPS10 can be fed directly from the shipping container or diluted with clean condensate in a chemical mix tank. It is compatible with most boiler chemical additives, excluding filming amines. Minimum agitation is suggested to prevent premature activation of the oxygen scavenger with oxygen captured by mechanical action at the solution interface. As a result, covered mix tanks or floating plastic plugs are desirable.

Testing

WTPS10 is controlled by maintaining a fixed sulphite excess of not less than 30 ppm in boilers or 3 ppm in feedwater lines. WTPTK108 test kit is available to determine levels of sulphite.
