WTPSS1095
WTP SS1095 is a convenient to use solid oxygen scavenger recommended for the complete removal of oxygen from deaerator heaters, feedwater storage areas, feedwater lines, condensate return lines, boiler internals and closed recirculating water systems.
PRODUCT DATA
Physical State | White solid |
DOSAGE
18 ppm of WTP SS1095 is required for each ppm of dissolved oxygen, plus an excess residual for testing purposes.
Dose per M3 feed = (18 x ppm oxygen) + (________35__________)
Boiler concentration factor
This formula will give 30 ppm sulphite as Na2SO3
Where feed temp = 80 0C then ppm oxygen = 2.9 ppm
If feed temperatures are below 80 0C then consider using a Water Treatment Products Ltd formulated tannin product.
FEEDING
WTP SS1095 solid may be fed directly from the shipping container or diluted with clean condensate in a chemical mix tank. It is compatible with most boiler chemical additives except filming amines. Minimum agitation is suggested to prevent premature activation of the oxygen scavenger with oxygen (air) captured by mechanical action at the solution interface. Covered mix tanks or floating plastic plugs are desirable.
TESTING
WTP SS1095 is controlled by maintaining a fixed sulphite excess of not less than 30 ppm in boilers or 3 ppm in feedwater lines, as detectable sulphite using a reagent dropper method or standard titration technique. Test kits are available from Water Treatment Products Ltd.
Please refer to safety data sheet for detailed handling/storage instructions. ·
WTP SS1095 treatments are shipped in 6 kg non-returnable HDPE jars.
