WTP C58
WTP C58 is a broad-spectrum biocide based upon a twin chain quaternary ammonium compound, with activity against both gram positive and gram-negative organisms.
Physical State | Clear solution with slight aromatic odour |
Density | 0.95 –0.99 gml-1 |
Heavily contaminated systems will require more biocide than a clean system. Draining, flushing, and mechanical cleaning of the cooling tower sump is recommended if biological contamination is severe.
Biocides should be added to the system in shock dosages at a point of good circulation. It is generally recognised that the alternate use of two biocides will control biological contamination better than anyone biocide. Normally alternate use of generically different agents is suggested.
WTP C58 is intended to be shot dosed into the system. It may be dosed into the sump of the cooling tower or evaporative condenser. The system should be cleaned before application of an initial dose of 200 ppm product. Weekly dosing will be required, ensure dip slide results show the system is under control.
WTP C58 addition may vary based on water temperature and seasonal requirements. Your Representative can provide detailed instructions.
Typical WTP C58 dosages for different purposes are:
All doses should be adjusted to account for system retention times and half-life.
Use biocides safely. Always read the label and product information before use. Please refer to material safety data sheet for detailed handling/storage instructions.
WTP C58 product is available in 25 litre and 205 litre non returnable drums.
