Description

WTP C42T is a slow dissolving, low dusting, tabletised compound for the bromination of cooling water systems, swimming pools and water features.

WTP C42T is based upon bromo-chloro-dimethyl hydantoin.

Advantages

WTP C42T is effective at pH values of up to 8.8 and is therefore more effective than chlorine.

Dosing and Feeding

  • WTP C42T is dosed to evaporative cooling systems to maintain a reserve of 1.0 to 2.0 ppm of free halogen (a requirement of HSE L8).
  • Applications can vary but an effective application is for continuous dosage.

 

Legionella efficacy

  • Continuous dosing; 0.5 to 1 ppm free bromine, for periods longer than 12 hours a log 6 reduction is observed.
  • Shock dosing; 5 ppm free bromine, 2 hours contact time (using European Standard Test).
  • WTP C42T is best applied by the use of a brominator available from your chemical supplier. Redox Control Modules are also recommended for accurate automatic dosing. 

Testing

Bromine drop test kit (WTP TK127 – 0-15ppm) can be used to determine correct levels.

Application

Use biocides safely. Always read the label and product information before use. Please refer to material safety data sheet for detailed handling/storage instructions.  

Packaging

WTP C42T treatments are available in 5, 10 and 20 kg containers.

Service

Field representatives will work closely with customer personnel to assure the effective application of the water treatment programme. Regular service calls can be provided by qualified personnel.
