WTP C44

Description

WTP C44 is a fast-acting, non-oxidising biocide formulation containing DBNPA, with a broad spectrum of activity. WTP C44 has been developed to control planktonic and sessile micro-organisms.

WTP C44 is compatible with system components and can be used with other water treatment chemicals as part of a routine treatment and maintenance programme.

Dosing and Testing

• WTP C44 is dosed at 50 – 100 mg/L (for a clean system) and should be circulated around the system for 4 hours.
• Half-life and retention times must be calculated.
• A drop test kit is available (WTP TK142) to determine correct levels in the system.

Legionella Efficacy

20% DBNPA was effective in preventing recovery of the target organism from the test water.

In an uncompromised environment used in laboratory procedures (0.85 percent saline), 20% DBNPA gave complete inhibition of L. pneumophila at 20 ppm and 2-hour exposure.

Application

Use biocides safely. Always read the label and product information before use. Please refer to safety data sheet for detailed handling/storage instructions. 

• Avoid direct contact with skin, eyes and clothing.
• In case of accidental contact, flush area with water, and seek medical attention.
• If swallowed or inhaled, seek medical attention immediately.
