Reminder: Compliance Statement Renewals Now Due

18 Months Since Regulations Took Effect

It’s now been around 18 months since The Control of Explosives Precursors and Poisons Regulations 2023 came into effect (1st October 2023). As a manufacturer we are reminding customers that it is now time to renew their compliance documentation.

To continue purchasing regulated substances without interruption, all business customers must submit a renewed signed statement and a valid form of ID (such as a Driving Licence or Passport) once the initial 18-month validity period has expired.

What’s Required and Why It Matters

Some of the chemicals we manufacture are classified as Regulated Substances under this regulation. These products are clearly marked with an asterisk (*) in our Product Guide or are listed in the customer portal.

To stay compliant, customers must:

  • Report suspicious transactions

  • Share regulatory information throughout the supply chain

  • Submit a signed declaration and valid ID confirming appropriate use of regulated substances

These documents are required not only for new purchases, but also as part of a rolling 18-month renewal cycle.

We’re Getting in Touch

We have already begun contacting customers whose documentation is due for renewal. If you haven’t heard from us yet but believe your statement may be expiring soon, please get in touch to avoid delays.

We’d like to thank all customers who have already submitted their updated statements and ID - your prompt response is appreciated.

All customer data is stored securely in our encrypted system, in full compliance with UK data protection regulations.
