Description

WTP C32 is an industrial biocide for the preservation of water and other liquids in open cooling systems (i.e. evaporative cooling towers) and processing systems (both open and closed recirculating type systems) by the control of harmful organisms.

WTP C32 is approved under the Biocidal Products Regulations No 528/2012 (BPR) for Product Type 11 application.

Application

Application Methods

  1. Manual dosing - Product to be decanted from the drum or IBC using a drum tap into a measuring jug or cylinder and poured into the system.
  2. Automatic dosing - Product is to be dosed directly from the drum or IBC, and decanted into either on-site day tanks or chemical dosing pots and pumped into the system.

Application rate and Frequency

Initial dosage of 500 mL of product m3 of water. Open cooling systems (i.e. evaporative cooling towers)
  • Typical dosing for a clean system (preventative use): 200 of product per m3 of water at 3 hour contact time.
  • Contaminated system (curative use): 500-2000ml of product per m3 of water at 24 hour contact time.
  • Dose weekly as a minimum (adjust dose based on dipslide results)
Processing systems (both open and closed recirculating type systems)
  • Typical dosing for a clean system (preventative use): 200 of product m3 of water at 1 hour contact time.
  • Contaminated system (curative use): 500-2000ml of product per m3 of water at 24 hour contact time.
  • Dose quarterly (adjust dose based on dipslide results)

Testing

  • Test with dipslides to ensure TVC’s are in an acceptable range (<104)
  • A drop test kit is available (WTP TK123) to determine correct levels in the system.

Packaging

WTP C32 treatments are shipped in 25 litre and 200 litre non-returnable drums.

Service

Field representatives will work closely with customer personnel to assure the effective application of the water treatment programme. Regular service calls can be provided by qualified personnel.
