Water Treatment Products Submit Dossier for Biocidal Product – BPR deadline for 1.5% CMIT/MIT (Isothiazalone) products 1st July 2017.

The Water Treatment Products CMIT/MIT Product Dossier was submitted successfully to the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) and the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) in the UK so we can continue to market this important group of biocides. Partnering with customers, who responded to our invitation to participate in the marketing authorisation process, involved including over 80 brand names and labels in the dossier pack.

The WTP Team did an excellent job to complete a number of field based efficacy studies on evaporative cooling, closed recirculating systems and process waters.

The final Dossier submission ran to over 1,000 pages of studies, data and risk assessments. At a cost in excess of £130,000.00 this represents a significant investment in these important regulations and allow our customers to continue to market this biocide in the UK under their own brand.

If you have not requested your tradename to be added to our dossier we may not be able to supply with your own label; we are still able to discuss options for the approval period.
